Wonka Rolls Out New Line Of Chocolates, Fruit Treats
Wonka, owned by Swiss chocolate maker Nestle, has introduced a selection of chocolates called Exceptionals. The new chocolate line-up includes three varieties, each available in tablet bars and bags of individually wrapped minis.
The three new variants in the Wonka Exceptionals collection are Scrumdiddlyumptious Chocolate Bar, Chocolate Waterfall Bar, and Domed Dark Chocolate Bar.
Scrumdiddlyumptious Chocolate Bar is a combination of toffee pieces, cookies and peanuts wrapped in milk chocolate. Chocolate Waterfall Bar is a blend of white chocolate swirled in milk chocolate. Domed Dark Chocolate Bar is produced using dark chocolate topped with milk chocolate drops.
Tricia Bowles, spokesperson of Nestle Confections & Snacks, said: With images of a chocolate factory, chocolate bars and even a chocolate river in mind, the world has long identified Wonka with chocolate.
“Now Wonka is delivering on the fantasy, whimsy and familiarity of the Wonka legend, which still resonates with the young and young-at-heart. America is about to experience the wondrous, one-of-a-kind world of Wonka chocolate.
Wonka chocolates will be launched in stores around the nation starting from March 1, at a suggested retail price of $2.39 for each 3.5oz tablet bar and $4.29 for each 8.5oz-9.5oz bag of minis.
The confectioner also launched New Wonka Fruit Jellies and Fruit Marvels, which it claims, are made using natural ingredients, contain no artificial colors, and 25% fruit juice. The sugar-sprinkled Fruit Jellies are square shaped and are available in a purple box.
The new fruit treats come in three flavors including Grapefruit, Red Apple and Goji Berry. The Fruit Marvels are hard candies with soft centers, and are sugar dusted. The marvels come in Clementine Orange, White Grape and Pomegranate flavors. These are offered in a confectioner's tin.
Wonka Fruit Jellies and Fruit Marvels will be hit shelves exclusively at Wal-Mart stores nationwide from April and Target stores starting in June for a suggested retail price of $2.99 for each 5oz box, and Marvels at $1.99 for each 1.9oz tin.
