Winn-Dixie Names Robert Mould As Vice President Of Grocery

Introduces changes in merchandising, marketing departments


Winn-Dixie Stores has appointed Robert Mould as vice president of grocery. In this role, he will be responsible for the sales and merchandising of all grocery, dairy and frozen foods for the Jacksonville, Florida based grocer. Prior to joining Winn-Dixie, Mould held leadership positions at Bi-Lo, and most recently as vice president of category management, Centre Store. Before that, he served in key merchandising roles at H-E-B in San Antonio, Texas.

In addition, Winn-Dixie reported the internal promotions: Matt Gutermuth, vice president of Centre Store is now group vice president, non-perishables, and will oversee Centre Store, general merchandise, corporate brands and pricing functions for the company.

Mary Kellmanson, vice president of marketing, has been promoted to group vice president of marketing. She will continue to lead all functions of the marketing department including, advertising, electronic marketing, neighbourhood marketing and communications.

Frank Thurlow and Mike Krage, directors of meat and seafood, and produce, respectively, have been named as vice presidents, and Cindy Hanauer, Winn-Dixie's director of floral is now senior director of floral.

Mould will report directly to Gutermuth, while Gutermuth, Kellmanson, Thurlow, Krage and Hanauer will continue to report directly to Winn-Dixie's chief merchandising and marketing officer Dan Portnoy.

Mr Portnoy said: "I am very excited about the addition of Robert to our company, and the changes we have made to our existing team of talented leadership."

"This will enable us to remain focused and responsive to the needs of our customers in this challenging economy while retaining our competitive advantage in the marketplace," he added.
