WinCo Foods Opens Fourth Store In Washington
WinCo Foods has opened its new discount supermarket in North Vancouver, which marks its 71st store in the chain. The new store is nearly 94,000sqft in size and will employ almost 170 people once opened.
The retail company first entered the Vancouver market in December, 1988. Mark Groves, the store manager, is a veteran of over 20 years with WinCo and began his career with the company at its old Vancouver Plaza store.
The company said that the focus of the operation will be on the grocery, meat, produce, seafood, deli, bakery and bulk foods items. The bulk foods department alone offers around 600 items, including many natural food products, some organics, snacks, candies and more.
WinCo Foods, founded in 1967, employs nearly 13,000 individuals and operates four distribution centers in addition to its 71 stores in the states of Washington, Idaho, Nevada,Utah, California and Oregon.
