Stop & Shop Recalls Ground Beef
The products are suspected to be contaminated with E.coli 0157:H7 bacteria
The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company (Stop & Shop) is reportedly recalling certain store made ground beef, as part of the recent national voluntarily product recall by the JBS Swift Company.
The products include: 75% Lean Ground Beef - UPC 200084852, 75% Lean Ground Beef Big Buy - UPC 200084851, 75% Lean Ground Beef Jumbo - UPC 200084855, 80% Lean Ground Beef - UPC 200087291, 80% Lean Ground Beef Big Buy - UPC 200087289.
The company said that other Stop & Shop ground beef products are not involved. This product was sold only at Stop & Shop stores located in the states of Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and NewHampshire. Stop & Shop has reportedly received no reports of illnesses associated with consumption of these products.
