Sensible Portions Launches Three New Snack Products
Sensible Portions, a developer and marketer of gourmet snacks, has launched three new snack products namely Miner's Gold, Potato Straws and Apple Straws.
The company said that it has provided a portion control seals or 'Sensible Suggestions' on the back of each bag. The serving-size label features a number that identifies the portion for each serving. An outer circle around the number identifies whether the product is cholesterol-free, all-natural, gluten free or contains no Trans fat.
The company claims that Miner's Gold are all natural white cheddar puffs made with gluten free ingredients such as corn meal, rice flour and white cheddar cheese. It further claims that these golden, cheesy snacks are baked, not fried, and are 50% less fat than the potato chip.
In addition, its Apple Straws are seasoned with cinnamon and are shaped like a straw. The company added that its new Potato Straws have 30% less fat than the average chip. The product is available in five flavors including Original Sea Salt, Salt & Vinegar, Smooth Cheddar, Sweet BBQ and Salt & Pepper.
