Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe to open fourth location in Missouri
Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe, a quick-service restaurant in Columbia, will open its new location in St Louis in early September of this year. The St Louis location will mark as the Pickleman's second franchise cafe, and the company's fourth overall.
The new restaurant will offer toasted sandwiches, thin-crust pizzas, prepared salads, and soups. The franchisees are Brad Merten and Brandon Holzhueter, both 25 years old and natives of St Louis.
Pickleman's franchisee Brad Merten said that the company has been working extremely hard and is exited to be coming to the SLU area.
We feel Pickleman's is the perfect fit here because of the quality and type of food we have, and we are open as late as 3:30 a.m. which should appeal to college students. We also offer fast delivery, so we will be able to deliver to businesses and residences in the Central West End and other surrounding areas,” Merten said.
Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe was started in 2005 by Doug Stritzel, a former Jimmy John's executive in the restaurant industry. Stritzel has been pursuing franchising his gourmet sandwich, salad, pizza and soup company for two years. Pickleman's has two locations in Columbia, Missouri and one in Springfield, Missouri.
