Papa John's menu to include whole wheat pizza crusts
Papa John's International, which operates and franchises pizza delivery and carryout restaurants, will soon be launching a whole-wheat pizza crust as part of its efforts to attract an increasing number of consumers seeking healthy food options, reported Reuters.
According to the company, Papa John's is likely to be the first national pizza chain to offer a 100% whole-wheat crust when it launches the product across its domestic restaurants later in May. Customers will reportedly have the option to order the whole wheat crust on any of Papa John's large-size pizzas without having to pay more. The move follows the announcement made by Yum! Brands, which recently said that it plans to roll out a natural pizza next year.
