Mincing Overseas Spice Recalls Two Lots Of Black Pepper

Mincing Overseas Spice, based in Dayton, New Jersey, has recalled black pepper lots 3258 and 3309 because of possible contamination with Salmonella.

Black pepper was not distributed at retail level and was shipped to Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, New Jersay, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Wisconsin.

The black pepper was sold in 50lb, 25lb, and 20lb cartons bearing the name Mincing Overseas Spice Company. Mincing has decided to initiate this recall as a commitment to the safety and health of the public.

Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
