MEFranchising plans to open 50 new Falafoul restaurants in UAE
MEFranchising, a company that helps establish and grow international franchise concepts in the Middle East and worldwide, has plans to accelerate the expansion plan for Falafoul, an Arabic fast food concept, and expects to open 50 new restaurants over five years.
The Falafoul Restaurant concept is founded by MEFranchising. The fast food restaurant's first franchise opened on 1 August, with an additional five outlets scheduled to be opened by the end of 2010. Some of the Arabic foods served include falafel burgers, hummus and foul.
The company said that the Falafoul's expansion plan is a two-pronged, with the first being an aggressive expansion in the Middle East region, and the second being to build the franchise internationally and become the first fast food concept for traditional Arabic food on a global scale.
MEFranchising director Fadil Alnassar said that the company has had terrific response both in focus groups and from customers who love the flavor, the packaging and the meal quality of Falafoul.
“The international market is ripe for Arabic food fast food made according to practices that the modern consumers have come to expect, Alnassar said.
We also know that our food, including the market’s first grilled falafel will resonate with today’s low-calorie consumer.”
