Medifast Adds New Dessert Option To Meal Replacement Line
Medifast, a portion-controlled weight loss program, has launched Medifast Brownies on the list of dessert options available on the Medifast 5 & 1 Plan. The company said that Medifast Brownies are made with real chocolate chips and maintains nutritional value of Medifast Meals.
According to the company, Medifast Brownies are completely interchangeable with other Medifast Meals in the Medifast 5 & 1 Plan. The Medifast 5 & 1 Plan allows clients to eat five Medifast Meals and one Lean & Green Meal, consisting of lean protein and non-starchy vegetables, each day.
Lisa Davis, vice president of research and development at Medifast, said: The new Brownie is a heart-healthy dessert item that is low in carbohydrates and full of protein. It allows clients to indulge by having a dessert-like treat while staying completely on the Medifast 5 & 1 Plan. During Medifast's transition and maintenance phases, the new Brownie makes an excellent alternative to high-calorie, high-fat traditional sweets.
The company claims that its new Brownies are complete with fortified Medifast Meals, providing the right balance of fiber, vitamins and minerals, and protein. Further, the company claims that brownies are easily transported and ideal for healthy dieters on the go with minimal preparation time.
