Land O'Lakes Launches American Deli Cheese Product
Aims to introduce innovation to deli category
Land O'Lakes has introduced an American deli cheese with 25% less fat than its regular American deli cheese - LAND O LAKES 2% Milk American Deli Cheese Product. The company stated that the latest offering is a part of a company effort to introduce innovation to the deli category.
The company said that the product is developed in response to the consumer trend towards healthier living.
Deli Erin Gislason, brand manager of Land O'Lakes, said: We strive to offer a product that has both great taste and is better for you. It's a delicate balance to manage, but LAND O LAKES 2% American Deli Cheese Product really does deliver on both.
The new offering is available in the Eastern United States, and is manufactured at the company's plant in Spencer, Wisconsin.
Retailers receive the product in 5lb blocks, which deli operators can then slice fresh to order, similar to other cheese found in the service deli, the company said.
