Jamba Extends Retail Offerings With New Frozen Bars

FBR Staff Writer Published 04 March 2010

Jamba Juice and Oregon Ice Cream have introduced a new line of Frozen Fruit Sorbet and Frozen Fruit Sorbet & Yogurt Bars, hitting select retail freezers across the US.

The company claims that its frozen novelty bars, which are available in five flavors, are all natural, made with real fruit, a source of Vitamin C, and contain pre-biotic fiber. Each box contains four 2.5 ounce bars and retails for around $3.99.

The company said that Frozen Fruit Sorbet Bars, available in two flavors including Peach Blackberry Smash and Strawberry Lemonade Swirl, are 70 calories per bar, and are a source of Vitamin C and are cholesterol free.

The Jamba Frozen Fruit Sorbet & Yogurt Bars, which come in three flavors including Vanilla Strawberry Jubilation, Vanilla Blueberry Pomegranate Perfection and Coconut Pineapple Passion Smashin', are 80-90 calories per bar, are a source of Vitamin C, and contain four pro-biotic yogurt cultures, the company added.

Susan Shields, chief marketing officer of Jamba Juice, said: The Jamba Bars are a unique way to bring the fun, delicious, high quality products we offer in-store, home.

With five tasty, all natural, fruit filled flavors, the new frozen novelties are the perfect after school snack, indulgent after dinner treat or afternoon pick-me-up you won't feel guilty about eating. This wholesome product doesn't sacrifice on taste - it will be hard to eat just one.

Jamba continues to expand its brand into the retail market as part of its strategic Blend plan. These products will be distributed by Oregon Ice Cream under license from Jamba Juice.
