FDA Expands Dry Milk Recall Due to Suspected Contamination
Malt-O-Meal recently recalls its maple-and-brown-sugar oatmeal packets
FDA has announced few more recalls due to the possible salmonella contamination in the products produced over the past two years by Plainview Milk Products Cooperative in Plainview, Minnesota as reported by United Press International.
Last month the milk cooperative recalled their instant non-fat dried milk, whey protein, fruit stabilizers and gums (thickening agents) suspecting the contamination. The recall was followed by CPI Foods of Dallas which recalled approximately 15,000 packets of non-fat dry milk.
Related to the products of the same milk cooperative, Malt-O-Meal recently recalled its maple-and-brown-sugar oatmeal packets. The other recalls include Land O Lakes-brand drinking cocoa called ‘Madagascar Vanilla’, Meijer hot chocolate mix, Kroger popcorn toppings and Giant-brand non-fat dry milk products.
