FBR Staff Writer Published 27 August 2010

Pennsylvania-based Cargill Meat Solutions Corp has recalled nearly 8,500 pounds of ground beef products that may be possibly contaminated with E. coli O26.

The products affected by the recall are 42-pound cases of 'GROUND BEEF FINE 90/10', containing three chubs weighing around 14 pounds each.

These products have a 'use/freeze by' date of '07/01/10', and bear a product code of 'W69032'.

The recalled products were repackaged into consumer-size packages and sold under different retail brand names, and feature the establishment number 'EST 9400' inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Produced on 11 June 2010, these products were shipped to distribution centers located in Maryland and Connecticut for further distribution.
