B&G Foods Introduces Polaner Sugar Free Preserves

With 80% fewer calories than standard preserves, the preserves with fiber are sweetened with SPLENDA brand sweetener


B&G Foods, a manufacturer and distributor of shelf stable foods, has introduced jam, jelly and preserves category with the launch of Polaner Sugar Free Preserves with fiber. It is available at retailers nationwide for $2.99 per 13.5 oz. jar.

The company said that with 80% fewer calories, Polaner Sugar Free Preserves with Fiber are sweetened with SPLENDA brand sweetener and contain 3gm of fiber, 10 calories, 2gm net carbohydrates per tablespoon. It is available in various flavors such as Strawberry, Seedless Raspberry, Apricot and Seedless Blackberry Preserves, along with Orange Marmalade and Concord Grape Jelly.

Marvin Schwinder, director of marketing at B&G Foods, said: "Everyone at B&G Foods is excited to offer this new product line to the jam, jelly and preserves category with the added nutritional benefits it provides. Initial retailer and consumer response to this product has been tremendous."
