Aunt Ida's Introduces New Line Of Gourmet Bakery Goods

Claims products to be natural, free from preservatives, added colors and trans fats


Los Angeles-based food company Aunt Ida's has introduced a new line of gourmet natural baked goods. Its products include Chocolate Babka, Apple and Honey Stuffed Challah and Matzah Rolls.

Aunt Ida's offers Jewish bakery products which the company says are natural and free from preservatives, added colors and Trans fats.

According to Aunt Ida's, its product offerings include, Chocolate Babka, which is a coffee cake with European chocolate; Apricot and Almond Babka, which is a Russian coffee cake; Challah, which is a traditional braided egg bread that's a staple for sandwiches and French toast for both Jewish and non Jewish families.

In addition, the company also offers Mini Challah that is same as the original braided Challah; Apple Honey Stuffed Challah that is a round challah bread stuffed with apples and honey; Matzah Rolls; and Honey Cake.

Goldsmith, founder and chief executive officer of Aunt Ida's, said: "It was important to me that the products were something people could relate to and wanted to put on their table because it tasted good. I also wanted to make sure it was all-natural, preservative free and appealing to the modern families buying it. We're calling it 'Tradition with Chutzpah'.”

Consumers can order direct at the company's website with product costs ranging from $2.5 to $15 plus shipping and handling.
