Agropur cooperative appoints new CEO

FBR Staff Writer Published 03 February 2012

Canadian dairy cooperative Agropur has appointed Robert Coallier as CEO, effective 27 February 2012. Coallier will fill the position left vacant by the retirement of Pierre Claprood.

Robert Coallier has nearly 30 years of management experience in a variety of sectors, including consumer products and retail trade. He has been a member of the board of directors of Agropur for the past two years.

Agropur cooperative board of directors chairman Serge Riendeau said that Agropur is delighted that Robert is joining the team.

"Thanks to his leadership, we are convinced that he will effectively guide our cooperative through the next phase of its growth and expansion, and that Agropur will achieve new objectives under his direction," Riendeau added.

Agropur cooperative processes over 3 billion liters of milk annually across 27 plants in Canada, the US and Argentina. It offers a range of products including brands such as Natrel, Sealtest, Oka, Québon and Island Farms.
